ROSEFIELD PLACE

Planning Consent and Building Warrant Applications; final completion pending.

Located in Portobello’s conservation area in Edinburgh, this 4 bedroomed house renovation involved the removal of internal walls to create a full house depth living & dining area to connect and bring light to the North facing rear rooms.  A new ground floor shower room, extended master bedroom and third bedroom in the eaves with new rooflights, maximises the house’s floor area to meet the growing family’s needs.

The existing outdated kitchen extension to the rear has been almost  completely rebuilt to create a modern, bright space, internally opened up to the dining and living room.  The large single fixed window and entrance door face West and maximises views to the garden.  A small opening window, designed to meet the pitch of the roof, creates glimpses North.

Clad in charred Scottish Larch with a standing seam, zinc roof the kitchen extension is now a contemporary, stylish backdrop to the traditional house.
